Primary Role

Maitree and Wellbeing:

  • To run employee engagement programs and events that encourages positive changes for employees (and potentially their families), to improve their health and to help employees feel greater connection with the organisation
  • Drive and promote programs to encourage wellbeing – including physical fitness, nutrition and mental wellbeing under the TCS Fit4Life program, promoting through connecting with employees in person and online via internal communications
  • Run and promote other activities in line with Maitree objectives for employees and their families i.e. clubs, partner (spouse) committees
  • Organise and promote cultural awareness including cultural festivals i.e. Diwali, Australia Day
  • Organise Events for example: Running events, sports day events, special events (e.g. Christmas), International Women’s Day events, HR and Wellbeing offerings events, seminars, competitions, health checks

Additional Responsibilities


  • Deployment of Talent Engagement processes for specific Accounts
  • Understand ANZ policies to support and respond to employee queries
  • Account Connects to drive engagement
  • Responsible for reporting on Maitree and engagement activities
  • Support of CSR in employee volunteering initiatives in Education, Health and Environment areas
  • Provide support to the Human Resources team on any other ad hoc requirements

Internal Communication:

  • Drive internal communication through newsletters, blogs, internal social media;
  • Seek new ways to improve HR brand through different channels of communication
  • Design and create effective online communication materials.

Key Relationships:

  • To work in partnership with the rest of the HR, CSR and Marketing functions
  • To promote people champions in the accounts to promote the Wellbeing and Maitree programs
  • To connect with all employees

Key Performance Indicators

  • No. of employee engagement/Maitree activities, min. 2 per country per month;
  • No. of person hours/kms logged into the internal fitness platform (TCS Fit4Life);
  • No. of connects per month;
  • Quantitative and qualitative feedback on shifts in employee attitudes and behaviour on wellbeing (i.e. feedback from events, programs, Pulse survey).

The Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Intern possess:

  • A strong interest in health and wellbeing
  • Experience in organising events
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Interest in social media, blogging, promotion campaign
  • Degree qualified in HR/Marketing (preferred) at an Australian University 

Interpersonal Skills:
The HR - Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Intern must be able to:

  • Work in cross functional and diverse teams
  • Project manage and deliver results
  • Communicate and connect with a wide range of employees to drive results


The applicant must be prepared to enrol in a University program in order to receive scholarship payments if offered the scholarship.


There will be 6 month and 12 month bonus paid $2000 each on successful progress.
