EBSCO JAVA Programmer Scholarship
Put your theoretical knowledge from the classrooms to practical use by working on an innovation platform. You will use your technical skills to identify relevant open source projects to implement and integrate them into a cloud-based application framework. Conduct research, develop Apps and document instructions to create new kinds of services.
Ideally 1+ years’ experience with the JAVA ecosystem, web services APIs, Linux, Virtual Machines, React/Redux and Docker.
Excellent written communication. Good knowledge of communication tools such as email, skype etc. Ability to work in a team (including virtual). Strong analytical and problem solving abilities Positive attitude.
Ability to operate computer 7+ hours per day.
Desired Experience/Business Skills
Understanding of networking (TPC/IP) and protocols such as HTTP, FTP. Can setup interconnected microservices.
Experience with open source tools and editors such Eclipse, Notepad++ or Visual Studio Code etc. Ability to define problems and find solutions using search engines and other online resources.
Ability to review technical documentation and implement systems using those instructions.
Must be in the final year of a Computer Science or Information Technology degree from an Australian University.
