| Donations
The ACS Foundation is registered with the Australian Tax Office (ATO)
as a Designated Gift Recipient organisation. This means that all donations
to the ACS Foundation Trust Fund are allowable deductions for income tax
purposes.

a Donation tab.
Non Monetary Donations
Non monetary donations, such as free use software licence/s, equipment
or other services are recorded as donated assets at a financial valuation
(in a whole $ amount) advised by the donor. Like monetary donations, these
qualify as a donation when the donor does not receive a material benefit
in return from the ACS Foundation.

Planned Gifts
Making a planned gift may allow you to give an option you can use to make
a valuable contribution to the welfare and support for scholarships and
research grants or scholarships. Planned or deferred gifts include bequests,
annuities, and trusts.
Bequests play an important role in enabling the contributor appropriately
to support the IT scholarship and research programs.
In deciding on the best way to support your choice of gifting modes,
we recommend that you seek the advice of your solicitor and your financial
advisor.
Make a Bequest
A bequest to the ACS Foundation Trust Fund is a contribution to support
the scholarship and research of current and upcoming generations of students.
In making your Will it is recommended that you seek the advice of your
solicitors and financial advisors. You may wish to include an additional
beneficiary in your current Will, or an amendment or an additional clause
(a codicil) can be simply added to it.
When considering your gift please note that the correct legal name for
the receipt of the gifts is the Australian Computer Society Foundation
Trust Fund.
Types of Bequests
A bequest to the ACS Foundation Trust Fund may be expressed in a number
of ways and your solicitor can advise you in relation to them. Some of
the possible ways you may consider leaving a gift are as:
- A Residual Gift
- A Percentage of Your Estate
- A Specific Gift

a Bequest tab.
Special Considerations
If you wish that your bequest be used for a specific purpose (for scholarship/s
or for research) you can insert the words after the words "to be
applied for the purposes of ... ... ..."
in your Will.
It is suggested that any special bequest terms be expressed in terms
as general as possible. Prior consultative discussions with representatives
of the ACS Foundation can help to ensure that the donor's request
is clear and their wishes result in a workable process for the donor and
the ACS Foundation Trust Fund.
Many benefactors are remembered today through scholarships, research
grants and prizes named in their honour.
In what ever form, a bequest to the ACS Foundation Trust Fund is an enduring
way to support the education and research of IT students as they contribute
to the betterment of work for future generations.
Thank you for considering the ACS Foundation Trust Fund.
