Automation/AI Engineer (2 positions) - Brisbane, QLD

Purpose of Position
The purpose of this role is to design and develop RPA processes, Chat Bots, and AI Algorithms.
This main focus of this role is to analyse human business processes and re-sequence the process for automation. Working alongside Senior Process Engineers and Technical Leads, on cutting edge technology to look at automating transactional processes, whilst applying AI algorithms to increase the accuracy and quality of the process.

Key Responsibilities


  • Work collaboratively maintaining ongoing dialogue and relationships with Stakeholders as part of continued solution development
  • Work in a collaborative manner with others that reflects the RACQ values.
  • Work with business people to observe and extrapolate current process.
  • Work in a team environment
  • Develop in UiPath (.Net) or Kore.AI (Node.JS, React or Angular JS
  • Work with the business to create hypothesis to address business problems
  • Turn Hypothesis into Python/Octave/R Code and execute in conjunction with Automation sequences.
  • Ensure cost effective strategies are adhered to in day to day business practices.
  • Undertake other roles and responsibilities as directed by the manager in line with the incumbent’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Operating within practices and procedures covered by precedents.
  • Does not lead a team.
  • Collaboration and integration with others internal and external to RACQ.

Key Capabilities – Essential

  • Minimum of Diploma in relevant study area
  • A certificate relating to a business/MBA, Technology or equivalent. Diploma from a recognised tertiary institution or other qualification or experience considered acceptable by the RACQ Group
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to manage development tasks across teams and work in agile environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success as a software developer, analytics machine learning analyst, or technical business analyst.
  • Collaborative and engaging interpersonal skills
  • Drive for positive outcomes, on time and in budget
  • communication and client facing skills is important.
  • Ability to work autonomously

Key Capabilities – Essential

  • University degree in relevant study area
  • Post Graduate Degree in Business information, Technology, Information System or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • The ability to manage iterations and project plans.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge of automation practices, tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated sound skills in problem solving, time and resource management, and have the ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated success as a software developer, analytics machine learning analyst, or technical business analyst with 4 plus years’ experience in this area

The role is requires a candidate who is an Australian Citizen and is 12 months full time with a salary package of $39,420 including super.
