Required Skills

The successful candidate must be studying towards an bachelor's degree qualification in Information Technology/ Information Systems at an Australian University. This role is available for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The value of the scholarship will be $32,000 and $36,000 respectively.

First Data - Data Administrator Scholarship - Sydney, NSW Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to carry out the daily capture & creation of all DE files, following the processing schedules provided and meeting the specified CS2 Exchange Times.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all incoming DE files from Departments, Building Societies, Credit Unions (2) FTS Clients and other Financial Institutions
  • Advise FTS clients of any Unpaid items received each morning
  • Distribute 401/402 Reports to clients after Run 1
  • Assist where necessary with FTS Daily Reconciliation
  • Download BPAY file each morning & release files accordingly
  • Assist FTS/Building Society/CU clients with any processing difficulties
  • Assist with Traces load where necessary
  • Check Confirmed Files Reports before every run
  • Control processing schedules to ensure BECS Exchange times are met.
  • Process Manual Returns & Refusals from Building Societies
  • Assist with EOM Charges where required
  • Mail out End of Month FTS Invoices
  • Update the client database with any changes of address, account numbers, BSB Number etc
  • Prepare a full & complete handover to DE Operator Evening Shift
  • Escalate problems appropriately & raise IM' where required
  • Assist in providing relief as required for Senior Operator & DE Operator Evening Shift
  • Assist with Archiving as required
  • Carry out PGP Testing procedures as required by APCA
