Job Description

The Web Development intern will be required to custom code websites from designs provided by the creative team. Other tasks include the maintenance of, and modifications to existing websites (mainly in WordPress) and the creation of HTML EDMs and email signatures.

Required Skills/Knowledge

• HTML + CSS - converting designs to HTML
• WordPress - building custom themes
• PHP
• Javascript, jQuery
• Cross browser compatibility - debugging issues with old browsers (Internet Explorer 9+)
• HTML Email - EDMs, using Campaign Monitor or Mailchimp
• Web Hosting and Service Management - setting up web hosting, domains, and emails for clients

Desired Experience/Business Skills

• Web training for clients
• Experience with WooCommerce, or Ecommerce platforms such as Magento or Shopify
• Experience with Silverstripe, Magento, Joomla
• Workflow tools - Gulp or Webpack
• Knowledge of SEO and Google best practices

Qualifications 

Final year of Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar. 

This scholarship role amounts to $17,000 tax-free for an Undergraduate working 37.5 hours a week for 6 months.
