Entry Level Software Developer

This role will provide challenging and complex projects as part of a 6-month (likely further 6 month ectension) entry-level opportunity to kick start your career at a values-based organization that will provide mentoring and development.

The Role

We are looking for a self-motivated Software Developer to join our Development team. Reporting to the Manager, you will write and implement software applications to support our internal systems and provide new functionality to meet our clients’ needs. This includes writing technical documents, writing and testing applications, evaluating existing applications for suitability and troubleshooting. The role would suit an enthusiastic candidate who is an analytical thinker and is looking to kick start their career.

You will be based in our modern environmentally and employee-friendly West Leederville offices working closely with the Perth, Brisbane, and African consulting teams and of course our diverse customer base.

Our ideal candidate will have the following;

• Nearly completed degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering or Software Programming and Development.
• Sound understanding of programming principles, development methodologies and toolsets.
• Sound understanding of database principles and database environment.
• Ideally have the following skills:

     Automated provisioning tools

     Software visualization tools

     Mark-up languages

     Data warehousing tools

     BI tools

• Excellent logical reasoning and methodical problem-solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills with an understanding of business and technology.
• The ability to work collaboratively with others and build/maintain strong working relationships.

This role is for Graduates and Undergraduates in the final year/semester of their degree and available to work 4/5 days a week.

This role amounts to $17,000 for an Undergraduate and $19,000 for a Graduate working full time for 6 months.
