The Autism Academy for Software Quality Assurance (AASQA) at Curtin University is an Australian social innovation initiative with the vision of harnessing the special talents of people with Autism Spectrum for the collective benefit of these individuals, the industry and the wider community.

Deloitte, the ACS Foundation and AASQA are in partnership to continue Australia’s first Specialist ACS Foundation Work Integrated Learning scholarships for undergraduates with Autism Spectrum and related conditions. The working environment will be inclusive by investigating and accommodating the individual needs of the interns prior to and during their employment. 

Job Description 

Data gathering and analysis

• Assess the techniques and tools to be used in data collection, analysis, and communication that will meet project needs
• Identify data required to achieve targeted insights and support the process of collecting both quantitative and qualitative types
• Support data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation through a variety of technologies.

Problem-solving and solution design

• Support the reporting of analysis, insights, and recommendations
• Support the design and implementation of solutions in response to insights and client challenges
• Identify process and system changes to increase the quality of delivery and drive toward relentless improvement 

Required Skills/Knowledge 

• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in following systems and procedures
• Good time management
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

• Ability to visually communicate analysis findings

• Knowledge in extracting, receiving, transforming, loading, validating, and analysing large sets of electronic data.  

Qualifications  

• Currently undertaking a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Physics, IT, Computer Science, Commerce or equivalent field(s)

This scholarship amounts to $8500 for an Undergraduate with Autism, working 37.5 hrs a week for 3 months.
