About the role

The primary purpose of the Cybersecurity Intern position is to assist, investigate and support Cybersecurity solutions across all business units in Arc Infrastructure including IT and OT.

The position of Cybersecurity Intern will report to the Cybersecurity Lead. The role will assist in achieving the Cybersecurity program at Arc Infrastructure. The person will work closely with Cybersecurity Lead to assist in BAU activities and responsibilities list in the below section.

The person will receive mentoring, technical training as well as all soft skills required to follow the entire lifecycle of a Cybersecurity practice. Although the initial engagement will be for 6 months (3 days a week) there is a strong possibility of an extension for further 6 months.

The technical skillsets the person will poses knowledge in risk management, authentication, access control, encryption, networking principles, current vulnerabilities, and threats. 

Key Role Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation supporting the security practice.
• Respond to BAU tickets, security-related requests, and incidents daily.
• Monitor the security systems for security events via SIEM, Web Proxy.
• Keep track of the latest Vulnerability and investigate the impact on Arc Infrastructure systems. 
• Research Cybersecurity best practices.
• A willingness to take on low-level tasks with enthusiasm and due diligence
• Participate in the conducting of Security and Risk Assessments as required
• Perform and respond with the other team members to security requests. 
• Analyse Security breaches to the Root cause, identify gaps or the need for additional controls
• Ensure the solution aligns with Arc Infrastructure"s Cybersecurity standards and policy. 

Qualifications  

• Must be enrolled in a Postgrad / Master’s degree through an Australian University

This role will amount to $10,200 tax-free for a post-graduate working 3 days a week for 6 months.
