About the role

There has never been a more exciting time to join The Star Entertainment Group. We are seeking future leaders to join our expanding Graduate program and are thrilled to be developing a new generation of leaders whose unique strengths, skills and capability support The Star in becoming ‘Australia’s Leading Integrated Resort Company’.
As a graduate in this role you will rotate through a variety of technical/data project roles, gaining exposure to business strategy and operations, whilst developing practical and intellectual capability.
Our aim is to provide you with a solid foundation and understanding of the technical infrastructure working with an Integrated Resort environment of Hospitality and Gaming.


What will the graduate role involve?

Graduates will gain exposure to the full range of integrated resort experiences, whist being provided with a unique opportunity to:

  • Learn the ‘on the job’ fundamentals of how an integrated resort company works
  • Build capability through supervised practical ‘real time’ experiences
  • Receive one-on-one support and mentoring by one of our top industry leaders
  • Gain access to the full range of The Star’s learning resources and training events


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (but not limited to):

  • Key responsibilities will be dependent on the graduate stream and role that will be appointed to.
  • Contribute to project related tasks
  • Act as an ambassador for assigned business unit and graduate leaders program.
  • Participation in all areas and requirements of the Graduate program
  • Meeting with internal and external customers
  • Complete and deliver assigned work place projects
  • Compliance with The Star Entertainment Group’s Sustainability Strategy including waste minimisation and recycling activities and reducing energy and water use
  • Ensure compliance with The Star Entertainment Group Code of Conduct, all internal policies and procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of other team members, contractors, labour hire, guests and visitors through co-operation with management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and the responsibilities outlined in the WHS Management System (SAFE 205 - WHS Responsibilities, Authorities and Accountabilities) which is available on the intranet.


The Requirements/Capabilities you will bring

Graduates will gain exposure to the full range of integrated resort experiences, whist being provided with a unique opportunity to:

  • Recently graduated, end of year 2017 completion or completion end of 2018 from a recognised educational institution.
  • Relevant study streams include Information Technology, Statistics/Mathematics, Economics or relevant business-related field
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own work load
  • Demonstrated learning mindset and commits to ongoing personal and professional development

This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney with a salary amount of $60,000 - $65,000 including superannuation per annum depending on relevant skills and experience.
You must be an Australia Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for this position.

The role will commence on the 29th of January 2019.
