Role Description

This opportunity is working with a major organisation of more than 8,500 staff employed across New South Wales and is undergoing an exciting period of organisational growth and operational change.

The HR Intern is a member of the HR team providing meaningful project and administrative support to internal customers. Working closely with a team of HR professionals, you will be involved in the development of policy and data records and framework to enhance team effectiveness.  You will also have direct opportunities to work on interesting projects including data analytics, intranet and communications. This role will work as part of a team of HR professionals in a culture that is caring and supports mentoring and development.

The HR Intern is a passionate individual that CARES about, and COMMUNICATES well with people. They will enjoy interaction with our internal customers and will work closely with service providers too. They will provide timely updates in a highly professional manner and strive on a daily basis to provide the upmost quality of support to their customers.

Reporting Relationships

This role reports to an HR Business Partner and at times HR Director.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake project work at a level commensurate with the role.
  • Collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices, and assist with review and implementation of identified actions.
  • Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of documentation to support informed decision making and planning.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
  • Provide a range of administrative services relevant to the project

Qualifications

  • Undertaking an undergraduate degree and Qualifications from an Australian university

Specific Skills

  • Applicant MUST have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills ;
  • Problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Report writing;
  • Ability to prioritise and control workload.

 

Scholarship amount for 5 days per week for 12 months full time is $32,000 tax free. 

 

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and must be studying a degree from an Australian University .
