ILUKA RESOURCES LTD - IT Project Management Postgraduate Internship

Iluka Resources is an international mineral sands company with expertise in exploration, development, mining, processing, marketing and rehabilitation. The company also has an emerging position in rare earth (Rare Earths) elements.

This IT Project Management Intern role will support the Project Management Team, including the opportunity to directly manage small scale internal IT projects with guidance from experienced PM’s.  The role will also coordinate the IT group processes such as monthly project review meetings and resource tracking processes leveraging Iluka’s modern platforms. 

Reporting into a senior member of the IT Leadership Team, the position will collaborate across the group and other areas of Iluka, working alongside Senior Project Managers and Business Analysts.  

Projects will vary and may include operational improvements, application upgrades or deployments, and automations or analytics. 

Required Business Skills and Knowledge;

• Strong Communication Skills - both written and spoken
• Sound understanding of Project Management principles
• Ability to analyse detail and summarise concisely for a variety of stakeholders
• Work closely with Project Managers & Project Teams

Desired Business Skills;

• Flexible "can-do' approach, and desire to improve personally and professionally 
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Project Management courses or training is essential, however experience not required but advantageous
• IT Business Analyst, Information Technology, Information Systems beneficial but not required

You must be studying toward a post-grad qualification in Project Management / Information Technology / Management Information Systems 

For this role, the following considerations will be made. Working either 4 or 5 days a week. Working anywhere from 6-12 months.  

This role amounts to $19,000 Tax-Free for a Postgraduate working full-time for 6 months.
