Macmahon is a mining contractor providing services across Australia and Southeast Asia. Headquartered in Perth, Technology supports systems, infrastructure and services across approximately 10,000 employees.

You will work with business stakeholders and technology teams to support reporting and dashboard solutions that improve visibility, decision-making and user experience across key business processes.

The role focuses on gathering requirements, validating layouts, supporting testing and documenting user experience so reporting outputs are accurate, usable and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, clarify and document reporting requirements including objectives, audience, data needs, frequency and success measures.

• Work with stakeholders to validate report layouts, dashboard designs, data fields, filters and usability expectations.

• Support testing by preparing scenarios, coordinating user validation, recording outcomes and following up defects or changes.

• Document user experience, including user journeys, pain points, FAQs, training considerations and improvement opportunities.

• Maintain requirement registers, report catalogues and supporting documentation to keep reporting artefacts current and traceable.

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of reporting, business analysis or data analysis principles.

• Ability to question, clarify ambiguity and translate business needs into clear requirements.

• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

• Confidence engaging with technical teams and non-technical business users.

• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI exposure advantageous.

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.

You must be currently studying towards a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or Combined Business / Computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Management, Business Analytics
