Software Engineer Intern

$51,597 tax-free for 12 months

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to software development, software testing, and DevOps practices within an agile product development environment.


This role is ideal for students who are passionate about technology, eager to learn modern software engineering practices, and interested in gaining practical experience across the software development lifecycle. Prior industry experience is not required; however, candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts and a willingness to learn.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and services.

  • Participate in software testing activities, including test design, automation, execution, and defect verification.

  • Support DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline maintenance, build validation, and deployment activities.

  • Collaborate with software developers, test engineers, and product teams in an Agile development environment.

  • Contribute to code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation as needed.

  • Learn and apply modern software engineering tools, frameworks, and processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or C++.

  • Understanding of core software engineering concepts, including:

    • Object-oriented programming

    • Software development lifecycle (SDLC)

    • Data structures and algorithms

    • Software testing fundamentals

    • Version control concepts (e.g., Git)

  • Experience gained through coursework, university projects, personal projects, or hackathons.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new technologies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with software testing concepts and test automation tools.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms, containerization, or DevOps concepts.

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
