Agilent Technologies is once again working with the ACS Foundation to find and select the right candidates for new internships to commence in February 2026.


These are exciting 12-month Work Integrated Learning placements with the potential option for a 6-month extension. Agilent Technologies is looking for students who are studying degrees in Chemistry, Science, or Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Software, Mechatronic).


Located in Melbourne, the specific roles include the following placements:


  • Chemist Intern - Molecular Spectroscopy

  • Chemist Intern - Atomic Spectroscopy

  • Electronic/Electrical Engineering Intern

  • Firmware Engineering Intern

  • Learning Products/Product Support Intern

  • Quality Test Engineer Intern

  • Software Quality Intern

  • R&D Mechanical Engineer

To be eligible for the role, you must be enrolled in a relevant degree throughout the entirety of the internship period. The successful candidates should be able to work full-time for 12 months.


The successful candidates will be studying the technical skills related to the specific internship that they are applying for. In addition, regardless of the role, the candidates will be able to demonstrate some of the following desirable attributes:


  • Initiative to get involved in extracurricular activities, casual jobs, or personal or team projects.

  • Personality: Outgoing, good teamwork, quick to learn, flexible.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team or take leadership initiatives

  • Problem-solving, communication, presentation, self-awareness, ability to ask for help, confident, innovative & ability to think outside of the box.

  • Portfolio: Volunteer work, published work on github, personal hobbies, created documentation, student activities.
